You need to be the [Owner](https://tailscale.com/docs/reference/user-roles) of a tailnet to\r\ndelete it.\r\n\r\n1. Open the [General](https://login.tailscale.com/admin/settings/general) settings page of the admin console.\r\n2. Select **Delete tailnet**.\r\n3. Follow the steps to confirm you want to delete your tailnet.\r\n4. Select **Delete** to confirm.\r\n\r\nWhen you delete your tailnet, we will permanently delete all node and user data and metadata for your tailnet from our\r\ncoordination server's database. Some data may still exist in temporary storage, such as diagnostic logs and backups, and\r\nwill generally rotate out automatically within 60 days.\r\n\r\nTailscale gathers or stores almost no personal information, except the metadata necessary to operate the product, such\r\nas your email address, your full name, a link to your external account profile, and some IP addresses needed for NAT\r\ntraversal, in compliance with our [privacy policy](https://tailscale.com/privacy-policy).\r\n\r\nWhen you delete a tailnet, any active subscriptions are immediately canceled.\r\n\r\n## [Unsubscribe from Tailscale mailing list](https://tailscale.com/docs/account/delete-tailnet\\#unsubscribe-from-tailscale-mailing-list)\r\n\r\nDeleting your data from Tailscale does not automatically unsubscribe you from any mailing lists.
